Business/ Economics

The Business and Enterprise department is located in five specialist rooms offering a wide range of courses in both Business and Economics. The department also offers courses in Children’s Care and Health and Social Care.

At KS4 we offer courses in Economics, Business Studies, Health and Social Care, Children’s Care and Leisure and Tourism. In the Sixth Form, we offer advanced courses in Business, Economics and Health and Social Care.

We run a mixture of both vocational and academic qualifications offering an appropriate course which is tailored to the needs of the individual student. Our results are impressive with for example, our most recent results at KS4 showed a 98% A* - C pass rate at KS4 and a 97% pass rate at KS5.

In addition we are responsible for providing Enterprise Education to all students at KS4. We do this by providing two Enterprise

Days for all year 10 which includes a qualification in Health and Safety in preparation for Work Experience.
